Noodle Cam

I’ve recently built a ‘catcam’ kit from Mr Lee ( CatCamlink ) and I’ve been having some fun equipping my terrier, Noodle, with it whilst out on walks. There are a few teething troubles to sort out- the box keeps falling off due to Noodles spinning jumping and running (she’s a lively little thing) so I need a stronger bit of wire or string to hold it in place.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Noodle was totally relaxed to wear the camera under her chin. It must be quite comfy and she took to it like a pro.

Openland

So, I think I’ve finally finished the main areas of the Openland soundtrack. I just need to consider the separate album that will be released along with the film now. It took quite a long time but the music is now in the talented hands of Patrick ‘Defasten’, the film maker/video artist who is behind the visual side of the project. Really, Patrick is the main man behind this. I just made a load of squiggly and splishy sounds for him to put on top.

Dub Stumble ep is Almost Finished

These things always take longer than you expect but I’ve finished the musical side of things and just have to tie up the artwork. Head over to http://www.lamadameaveclechien.com/ for a few audio clips. I’m teetering on the edge as to whether to change the name of it. ‘Expected Eventuality’ could be wrong. I dunno, it’s just bugging me and so I’m thinking ‘Dummy ep’ might be better.

The ep will be available on vinyl only and limited to 500 copies. I’m not sure if a download version will happen. The nice people behind ‘La Madame avec le Chien’ are very much pro vinyl and that suits me. If you want to hear the ep and don’t have a turntable then maybe it’s about time to invest in one.

More of the Same

Sunset near Pitres

‘More of the Same’ was recorded in the Spring of 2005. I had borrowed a guitar which had seen better days and created some, mostly improvised music based around it’s screwy tone and buzzy frets. I’m drawn to flawed and/or broken instruments. The piano used on ‘Demons’ has never been tuned during the time I’ve owned it. Michele, my girlfriend, wants to replace it with a more useful sideboard or cupboard. It makes sense due to our lack of space but I’ll be sad to see it go.
